Cavan Town St Patrick's Day Parade 2013
Cavan Town St Patrick's Day Parade 2013 took place at 12:30pm and despite inclement weather conditions a large number of Bands, Community Groups/ Organisations and Businesses took part in the Parade. People assembled from as early as 12:00 noon as the Webber School of Dancers were at the Market Square to entertain the early viewer. People assembled at key locations on the Parade route to ensure they did not the spectacle. Paul Cox compared the event and it was streamed live on www.cavantv.com. The Cavan town parade, the first of 13 parades, will be streamed live here this Sunday from kick off at 12.30pm. The parade will begin at 12.30 in the Tesco carpark. Between 70 and 80 floats will make up the parade for this year. No specific theme has been set for this year, though there is a prize for the most imaginative float entered by a national school. There will be musicians on the street all day including traditional bands. Four-time Paul Brady, a world handball champion, will be a part of the event. There will be prizes including one for best float.
